I would like to say how proud I am of all the girls and the way they played this weekend. This is the first time, for many of them, to play in a tournament like this. The girls played a lot of innings today, and held up to stand victorious in the end. We have come a long way since we first got together in the fall, and we have improved by leaps and bounds. Thank you parents for your help and support. Once again great job this weekend, and I will send out the bracket later this week. Thanks, Coach Mike

What a weekend! I am very proud of all the girls. They were so upbeat all weekend and get along so well and it showed. When I say this was a team effort, I mean it. Sunday was hot day with a lot of action, controversy, fatigue and even a few players not feeling well. I hope everyone is doing better today. When someone got down or wasn't feeling well they all rallied around and picked each other up. You don't see that very often with a young first year team. I still have no idea how Theresa got around the catcher at 3rd base. I give credit to Sacred Heart. They had a very long day and came ready to play in game one. In game two, the girls were not going to allow them to beat them twice. Starting off quick in the first inning scoring five runs set the tone. Great job by all and especially the pitchers and catchers working through the pressure and heat. You all did a great job! Thank you for the effort and dedication you have put in and let's keep making great memories will keep forever. Please share with your kids they worked hard and need to hear it. I don’t know if you’ve been told, Wolverine played softball and it wasn’t cold. Finally, we played games without the need for winter coats and hot chocolate along the sidelines. Each player contributed to the team’s success this past weekend, from pitching, fielding, hitting, or cheering… a total team effort. We had players sick and some hurt but they stayed in the game and refused to quit. Grace’s composure and throwing heat from the mound in game 1 and 5 was a thing of beauty, the outfielders what a great job backing up the bases, Christina covering second, covering third, covering second, players BUNTING, BUNTING, Theresa’s tenacity at third base, leaving us all still wondering how did she get pass the catcher to bring in that 5th run. Parents how proud you should be of your daughters. When we started just 8 months ago, we could not have gathered a more special group of players, parents, or coaches. There is no substitute for good coaching, committed players, and supportive parents. Let’s keep learning and executing the game of softball. Go Wolverines. Errrrrrrr. Diane – Team Manager

What a beautiful weekend and so much fun watching our "little" girls play ball like champions. WOW!!!! Each and everyone should be so proud of themselves. Thank you to our coaches for letting our girls into your world of knowledge and teaching them the proper way of playing the game, from the rules, the strategies, fielding, pitching, catching, running the bases to having such grace and manners on the field. Nick and I are so thankful that we are with such a wonderful group of girls, coaches and parents. Thanks for the memories and the memories to come. We are looking forward to next weekend!!!! I’ll tell you what…. This weekend was SO exciting that Kylie was on cloud nine her whole way home and went to sleep with a big smile on her face. I would really like to thank the coaches for everything they have done for our girls including the memories that will last forever... I know Kylie will never forget any of it and that means the world to me. Grace, Abby, and Cami did an awesome job pitching which amazes me how they can handle such pressure and make it look effortless. *** Let us not forget Santa being thrown from the field (Nick, your definitely on the nice list this yearJ) right down to Theresa’s show down on third. I have to agree with everyone! Great weekend! The girls have come such a long way since august thanks to you coaches! We enjoy watching each one of these kids like our own! Everyone did a great job!!!!!! Theresa- Rhiannon is still talking about you dancing on the third base line!!!!!! Mike, Dave, Diane, Tracy- you should all be proud of yourselves. You are a huge part of why our girls ARE CHAMPIONS! We are truly proud to be Wolverine's and LETS GIT R DONE AT THE NEXT TOURNAMENT AS WELL. Wow! I just got a chance to check my home email and I have to agree with everyone. It was so much fun watching the girls and the coaches this weekend. What a phenomenal job you have done. Even though Regan wasn't feeling too well at the end of the night she was gushing with pride when she called her grandparents to tell them about the entire tournament. Coaches you have done a wonderful job and I feel very fortunate that my daughter is learning so much and is building strong friendships with some pretty terrific girls! Just thinking about this weekend has to put a smile on everyone's face! - Eileen
